Character
Bill Bryson as a young boy travelled with his father and visited small towns. He was a very funny man who saw happiness everywhere he went; even if it was a crappy town he found humour in it. His travelling first began in Nebraska and through Mississippi and ends up in New England, then heads back to Iowa and goes all over the place north and west then headed south to New Mexico and Arizona. As the Chicago Tribune quoted, "Why are [Bryson's books] so dazzling good? The simple answer: Bryson is funny... intelligent, witty and sensitive to the absurd." I thought Bryson was a very open honest man who lived his life to the fullest. I loved this book, it's the kind where you are reading in class and start to laugh out loud and no one has any idea why you are laughing. I do suggest this book to anyone with a good sense of humour and loves sarcasism.
